Matt Juengel The Lab lead hitting instructor

Matt Juengel

Matt was born and raised in Houston, TX. He played baseball collegiately at Panola Jr. College, where he earned All-Conference and 3rd team All-American honors, and then at Texas A&M University, where he earned 2nd Team All-Big 12 honors. Matt was drafted in the 24th round by the Miami Marlins and played 6 years professionally, including All-Star team appearances at both the A and AA levels. Matt’s passion to pass along his years of experience is seen everyday at The Lab at HUSTLE3.

Lance Dobbins

Coach Dobbins, a Bryan High School alumnus, has been a professional pitching coach since 2002. Following his collegiate and professional baseball playing career, Coach Dobbins served as a scout and draft consultant for the Tampa Bay Rays. His teaching methods are geared toward the mental components of pitching and developing the biomechanics of delivery that give you the best chance for long term success and injury prevention. He joined The Lab at HUSTLE3 in 2020.

Steve Price

Steve is a certified strength and conditioning specialist who has coaching experience at youth, high school, and collegiate levels. Originally from the St. Louis, Missouri area, he played college football at Missouri Valley College, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. He was a Sports Performance Coach for the Texas A&M University football team from 2013-2017. He then worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, where he trained multi-sport male and female athletes. More recently, he served as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the football program at Rutgers University prior to joining The Lab at HUSTLE3 in 2021. His certifications include National Strength and Conditioning Association, College Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association, Certified Functional Strength Coach, Reflex Performance Reset, USA Weightlifting, and Precision Nutrition Level 1.

Cole Hayden

Cole joined the The Lab coaching staff in 2022 after finishing a 12-year player career. Originally from the San Antonio area, Cole played and graduated from Smithson Valley High School while also competing for The Stix summer baseball program, now known as the San Antonio Angels (coached by Kevin Keeton). After becoming injured, Cole enrolled at Texas A&M University studying Agriculture Economics (while minoring in General Economics). Cole provides lessons in both hitting and fielding at The Lab at HUSTLE3 and works well with younger players learning to build solid fundamentals.

Luke Triola

Luke grew up locally in Bryan, Texas, where he attended James Earl Rudder High School and played on the Varsity baseball team all four years. During that time Luke trained at The Lab at HUSTLE3, being one of our original members after the facility opened in early 2020. For Rudder High School, Luke played several infield positions as well as the outfield. Post graduation Luke decided to hang up the cleats and attend Texas A&M University to study Sports Management. He continues to carry on his passion for baseball here at The Lab at HUSTLE3 by passing on his knowledge through hitting and fielding lessons. 

Wilson Roubion

Wilson was born and raised in College Station, Texas. He was an All-State outfielder for College Station High School, and played collegiately at Paris Junior College, where he was an Academic All-American. In 2022, he served as a Student Manager for Texas A&M Baseball, which finished that season as a College World Series Semi-finalist. He holds a degree from Texas A&M University (Class of 2023) and currently is coaching and serving with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes with local high school baseball teams. His hobbies include dove and hog hunting, and fishing on the gulf coast. He is an avid fan of the Houston Astros, Houston Texans, Houston Rockets, Texas A&M Aggies and Ohio State Buckeyes. He joined The Lab at HUSTLE3 in 2023.

RJ Carver

RJ grew up in Bulverde, TX, where he played for Smithson Valley High School. He received academic All-State honors his junior year and was named a San Antonio All-Star. After his senior year was cut short due to COVID-19, he moved on to college baseball. He has played at most levels of collegiate baseball; Division III at Hendrix College, Division I Junior College at Western Texas College, and Division I at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. He continues to follow his passions here at The Lab at HUSTLE3, where he works and trains with the staff, and specializes in hitting instruction.

Matt Langwell

Matt, a graduate of Rice University, was drafted in the 11th round of the 2008 Major League Amateur Draft. He helped the Rice Owls advance in back-to-back seasons to the College World Series. He played for the Cleveland Indians and Arizona Diamondbacks in 2013. In seven years of professional baseball, Matt spent no time on the disabled list, a testament to the training he utilized to keep himself in the best position to remain healthy. Matt joined HUSTLE3® Pitching in 2017, and The Lab at HUSTLE3 in 2020.

Sav Price

Sav Price is a California native who developed her competitive edge while growing up in a family of all boys. She was a three-time High School Softball All-State Team recipient by Cal-Hi and a two-time Mid-Valley League MVP at East Nicolaus High School. She went on to play 3 years of collegiate softball at Arizona State University and 1 year at Texas A&M University. She helped lead Arizona State to a PAC-12 Championship in 2022, and played on NCAA Super Regional teams at both Arizona State and Texas A&M University. Sav has coached select travel softball teams from Arizona and Texas, with her focus on expanding a player’s mental game of confidence, consistency and accountability. Sav joined The Lab at HUSTLE3 in 2024.

Paige Lott

Paige Lott is from Dayton, Texas. She played 4 years of Division I collegiate softball, 2 years at the University of Houston and 2 years at Texas A&M University. She has experience playing multiple positions, as she was committed as a utility player. In 2024, she was unanimously named the “12th Man” by her Texas A&M teammates, an honor bestowed to the player that best exemplifies “excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, respect, and selfless service.” Paige has been a select softball coach and private softball instructor for 5 years, and has also worked at many collegiate softball camps. Paige’s instruction focuses on key fundamentals and the IQ of the game. Paige joined The Lab at HUSTLE3 in 2024. 

Jake Epstein

Jake Epstein and Epstein Hitting provide special training consultation services to the The Lab at HUSTLE3. Jake is one of the top hitting instructors in the country. He is a former University of Missouri Hitting Coach and currently serves as an MLB Hitting Consultant for the Milwaukee Brewers organization. He played collegiately at Cal State Fullerton and professionally in the Angels organization.
