A Houston, TX native, Matt played collegiately at Panola Junior College, where he earned All-Conference and Third Team All-American honors, before transferring to Texas A&M University and earning Second Team All-Big 12 recognition. Drafted in the 24th round by the Miami Marlins, he played six years professionally, earning All-Star selections at both the A and AA levels. Matt continues to bring his playing and coaching experience to The Lab, where he develops hitters with a focus on mechanics, approach, and consistency.
