Ty was a standout left-handed pitcher at the University of Texas (2012–2016) and was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 8th round of the 2016 MLB Draft. He spent nine years in Minor League Baseball, reaching the Double-A level. Ty later served as Head Pitching Coach for the Sioux Falls Canaries, where he developed pitchers at a high level of independent professional baseball. He also operated a local training facility, helping more than 20 players advance to the next level since 2021. He has experience training athletes from youth to the professional level and is deeply rooted in the Bryan/College Station area, where he is committed to developing local talent. Ty is also the owner and director of Texas Ghost.
